Wicked!

We promised Logan we would go to Lagoon this summer, so the week before school started, we made the trip. Easton got to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa, and had a GREAT time. I'm sure he had more fun than if he would have gone with us. The four of us had an excellent time. From the beginning, we were trying to get Logan to go on WICKED, quite an exciting roller coaster (the one I dropped the cell phone off of last year). At first, Logan looked like this:

After much persuasion, he finally decided to go. Then, he looked like this:

We went on many rides, then went to the water park and on our way out, Logan said he'd try it. Wahoo! His father and I are very proud, and hope to get him on Colossus (has 2 loops) next year.

Logan's favorite rides were: Spider, Wild Mouse, and the Roller Coaster. He's still deciding about Wicked.

David's favorite ride was Wicked.

Rozanne's favorite ride was the White Roller Coaster.

Lauren's favorite rides were OdySea, Dinosaur Drop/Ladybug Bop and the Bat. She wishes she was tall enough to go on Wicked and all the other coasters. Let's hope she's still brave enough when she's tall enough!

Summer Fun

We love Liberty Park! The first 2 summers living here we went and had the greatest time. Last summer we kept saying we were going to go, and never did! This year we made an effort to remember (the kids helped) and we went. What a great, CHEAP way to cool off and spend time with the family. We'll have to do it again next summer for sure.

From the mouth of my 5-year-old

I've had the same swim suit for probably 10 years. It's a one-piece, no support green thing that I wear shorts with. I decided (after a day at the pool where I was undoubtedly the most out-dated mom there) that I needed a new suit. I bought a dress one, and I think it's cute. It doesn't look maternity, and it doesn't look old lady-ish. We went to a water park, and I saw 4 other women with similar suits, so I was feeling pretty good about myself. I know I need to lose more weight, but I was actually feeling positive about myself after a day in the suit. Then, in the changing room, I hear this: "Mom, you're kinda chubby".

13 YEARS AGO!

For our anniversary we got rid of our kids! We watched a niece and nephew for a few days, then they took all three of ours for a couple of days! We slept in until 9:45! That was great. We also saw two movies, both at the dollar, because there weren't really any other movies we wanted to see. We saw Prince Caspian and loved it, and then The Incredible Hulk, and it was really okay. I liked it better than the last one, and the ending was fun. We also ate at 2 places we'd never eaten. On Monday we went to 5 Guys Burgers & Fries for lunch, and it was yummy! That night we got treats at Scoopology . . . so good! Then on Tuesday night we ate at The Roof. Very fun and extremely tasty. The dessert bar had so many options that I left feeling rather uncomfortable. We went and did sealings at the temple on Tuesday also. Both nights we stayed up late watching the Olympics. We had a really fun couple of days . . . THANK YOU STEPHANIE! Today we picked up the kids and Lauren was SO happy to see us, Easton was a monster (for us, not for his aunt) and Logan is pretty indifferent. Whatever.

Family Reunion

I waited for it for so long, and now it's over. We planned and looked forward to it, and just like that, everybody went home. Here are some Heber highlights:

The first day was full of fun in Park City. There was the alpine slide, the coaster, the carousel, shopping, etc.

The next day in the morning we rode the Heber Creeper w/Grandpa, Liz & Kelly. That afternoon was spent kayaking, tubing, and rafting down the Provo River. Elizabeth, Liz & I spent the whole time trying to keep Easton out of the water.

The next day was spent at Jordanelle (thank you Brian & Cheryl!). Because of Easton's desire to be in the water, he stayed at the cabin with various family members. I tried to wakeboard for the first time, and never got up. Later I tubed and my neck is just starting to get back to normal. Basically, I'm an out of shape wimp! Oh well, I had a great day, and Lauren LOVED it. She even jumped out of her tube so she could "fall out" like everybody else. Brian tried to go get her and she said, "No, I'm okay. I'm kicking with my legs!" Logan took as many turns on the tube as he could, and David got to take a turn also. That night most of my family went to Sundance while Suzanne's family and mine stayed home and got to watch Sarah Jane.

My dad (thanks Dad!) rented a cabin with enough beds and bedrooms for all of us, and a fun game room with a pool table, ping pong table and air hockey table which were kept occupied most of the time. I loved hanging out with the family, playing games and just chatting.

Birthdays!

Lauren is now 5 and Logan is 11! Time flies. Lauren had 2 friends over to play and had a puppy cake, and Logan was at the family reunion with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins to celebrate with . . . LUCKY!
